The Mark Literary Review
The Mark is an online magazine that's always open for submissions! We never charge a fee to submit your work. We're down to read anything! There isn't a specific theme you need to adhere to, but we are most interested in reading creative writing that tears your heart out. Send in your best poetry or short stories and we'll get back to you within two weeks (sometimes sooner). We do not accept previously published work, but we do accept simultaneous submissions. Tealight Press
Tealight Press is a new online literary journal that is focused on uplifting and showcasing the talents of the Queer community. Their theme for September is "Glory." You can submit art, poetry, or flash fiction under 500 words that reflects this theme. You may submit more than one piece of work, but only one piece per author will be published, if chosen. Stonecoast Review
According to their website, "The Stonecoast Review is a literary arts journal edited by students and alumni from Stonecoast’s low-residency MFA Program in Creative Writing through the University of Southern Maine." They accept fiction, pop fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, dramatic works, experimental, and visual art. They also offer feedback on 10% of declined submissions. They are open for submissions until October 12.
In The Minority
In The Minority is a new press, but one that will certainly be important and worth checking out. According to their website, "In the Minority is an online poetry magazine and soon to be press created to celebrate underrepresented voices of today. Whether these are shouts from BAME or LGBTQ+ communities, we believe in amplifying messages from minorities to develop better attitudes and improve the narrative surrounding civil rights through poetry." The theme for their first edition is "Learning." They are, "...particularly interested in poetry from BAME, LGBTQ+, refugees and economic migrants and people with disabilities." ang(st) zine
"ang(st) is an intersectional, transnational, diverse, inclusive, and queer feminist zine," according to their website. They are currently taking submissions for their "Hair" edition. They publish poetry, prose, visual art, and digital art while prioritizing LGBTQ+, BIPOC, disabled, and other marginalized voices. They are open for submissions through the end of September.
