James,
I’m glad to hear you’ve found something.
I really am.
Same with you, Chris.
The pay’s not great
but it could lead to something.
Despite the company closing,
you’ve both landed on your feet.
And here’s me,
still sending out resumes,
knocking on doors,
listening to apathetic secretaries say,
“We’re going with someone else.”
In the meantime,
why don’t we get together?
Now, while we still know how.
