Submission Guidelines

  • We will be open for submissions June 1-7, 2021.

  • No submission fee required

  • If you would like to receive feedback on your piece, please note that in your email. You are not required to pay for this feedback, but if you're able, please consider donating to our Ko-fi page. Visit our donate page to learn more

  • Submissions can be works of poetry, fiction, or nonfiction not exceeding 4,000 words

  • Send one or two poems per submission. If you send more, your submission will be disqualified.

  • Please include trigger warnings in your email if your piece deals with suicide, domestic violence, anxiety, etc.

  • Do not send work intended for children or that has been previously published

  • Submit a word document including your work and a third person bio to themarkliteraryreview@gmail.com

  • Works that are accepted will be published and archived under the "Archives" tab

  • At this time, we cannot offer payment for publication

  • We accept simultaneous submissions, but not work that has been previously published.

  • Any work sent outside our submission window will be deleted unread.

  • We are always open for submissions of book reviews, author interviews, or literary essays of at least 300 words. The ideal article would be between 1,000 and 1,200 words.

  • Articles will be posted on the "blog" portion of this website

  • Do not send work that has been published elsewhere

  • Submit a word document with your work and a third person bio to themarkliteraryreview@gmail.com

  • At this time, we cannot offer payment for publication
